Is Peyton's Last Game on Super Bowl Sunday?

One of the biggest storylines heading into the Super Bowl, and the question on everybody’s mind, is whether or not this will be Peyton Manning’s last game. His response to that question has been: "I haven't made up my mind, but I don't see myself knowing that until after the season." Manning has also said, "...I've really just tried to focus on that one week and not think too far ahead, and that has really helped me out a lot. I think, had I been thinking about things past that it would've affected me, and so it's really served me well till this point, and I'm going to stick with that for one more week." I respect Manning’s mindset about not looking too far ahead and trying to remain in the moment. He seems to be soaking in the entire experience of playing in another Super Bowl, instead of worrying about what’s going to happen next.  When it comes to our own lives, planning is important, but sometimes we miss out on the moment because we’re always thinking ahead. We, too, should enjoy the season that we’re in, relish the moments, and make the most of who we’re with. Too often we don't appreciate what we’re experiencing, or what God is revealing to us, because we’re preoccupied with something else or what we have to accomplish tomorrow. The Bible says in Matthew 6:34, "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.” Manning might walk off the field for the final time on Sunday, but instead of worrying if he’s going to play next year or not, let’s just be concerned about how he’s going to play when his Broncos compete for the Super Bowl. With that in mind, let’s be challenged to remember that God has given us breath to accomplish His will today...and if tomorrow comes, we’ll be concerned about it then. I’m Bryce Johnson and you can unpack that!
