What We Believe

A Christ-centered...faith-filled... Spirit-led ministry for sports fans
UNPACKIN' it Ministries believes in bringing God honor and glory by challenging, encouraging,
and inspiring sports fans to follow Jesus and become more like Him.

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, revealing
the love of God to the world.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus was sent to earth to save sinners, He died on the cross and was resurrected, and later ascended to heaven.
He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a perfect life, took our place on the cross, and paid the punishment for our sins.

We believe salvation is a free gift because of God’s grace and love, and it’s not because of our works.

We believe those who put their faith and trust in Jesus as their Lord and Savior will live eternally with God.

THE SPORTS FAN FOLLOWING JESUS MANIFESTO
I put my faith in Jesus as the true Savior instead of my favorite athlete.
I am more committed to following Jesus than sports stories, stats, and scores.
I desire to be more passionate about sharing the Gospel than celebrating a championship win.
I find more joy in Christ than in seeing my team score in the final seconds of a game.
I place more trust in God’s Word than in sports media.
I am more dedicated to my family and friends than watching my favorite team play.
I trust I have peace in Jesus, surpassing all understanding even during a losing season.
I am more committed to generosity than to sports betting.
I will get angrier about injustice in the world than about a ref’s bad call.
I believe God is a God of miracles beyond the court and field.
Lastly, I embrace real winning as receiving God's grace and forgiveness.
