You can watch today’s video devotional HERE as I discuss how being a follower of Jesus requires a commitment to be “all in” instead of “flipping back and forth” between our old life.

We must pursue the path of obedience and be truly surrendered to Him, instead of seeking the world’s smorgasbord filled with selfish pursuits and distractions.

VERSES OF THE DAY:

1 Corinthians 7:35 (NLT) tells us, “I am saying this for your benefit, not to place restrictions on you. I want you to do whatever will help you serve the Lord best, with as few distractions as possible.”

Luke 4:8 (NIV) explains, “Jesus answered, ‘It is written: “Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.”’”

Matthew 6:24 (NIV) says, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I don’t want to be double-minded, but rather fully focused on You. I want to be committed and not distracted by selfish pleasures. I desire to be “all-in” instead of going back and forth. I find my strength in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
